A Lake Okoboji wedding…a little preview
Weddings are my passion, pure and simple -
I love everything about them from the grandest most romantic gesture to the smallest most touching detail. While my style has been dubbed "modern classic," my goal is to bring out each couple's own unique style and vision, using my energy and expertise to create the most relaxing and pleasurable experience imaginable.
Since moving to the Des Moines area just over 4 yrs ago I have photographed nearly 150 weddings. Currently, wedding-related photography makes up about 90% of my portfolio. But when not spending time with my brides I love to capture everything from portraits, children and grads to art subjects… including the enchanting and historic East Village district which features weekly in this blog.
I am so thankful for the friendships and fulfillment I have found through photography ― and for the people who invite me to share some of the proudest and most moving moments of their lives.
"My husband and I could not have been happier with Amy. The minute we met her, she made us feel comfortable and we immediately started having a blast. The engagement session reiterated our decision and we ended up with stylish yet timeless photos that we continue to get compliments on. When our wedding day came, we knew we wouldn't have to worry about Amy. … We loved her. Our wedding party and our guests loved her too! … Did I mention she's totally incredible at taking photos?!” – Sarah & Pat
