Photography meets Cinematography

“Hi. I’m Brad from Oceanwide Studios.  We are a small boutique wedding film studio operating out of Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, Mn.  We are passionate about our style of cinematography and are proud to bring our couples stories to life. By shooting with tools and methods that have been used in film for years, we protect our work from becoming dated.  We hope that our couples will have a memory that stands the test of time.”

I have had the awesome privilege of working with Brad and Andy of Oceanwide Studios twice this year…. so far.  They are an amazing duo whose remarkable same-day-edit pieces leave wedded couples, their guests and even vendors breathless. There isn’t a dry eye in the place…

Please do yourself a favor and take a moment out of your day to view their exquisite work. Here are two examples of weddings at which we worked together. Brad and Andy are incredibly easy to work with, so natural, so accommodating. Everything goes so smoothly. The whole experience is a sheer joy.

Earlier this month I featured Melissa + TJ. Here is my favorite image of the beautiful day I shared with them:

“The day of the wedding for vendors such as photographer, cinematographer can be a non-stop game of Tetris making sure all of the pieces fall into the right place for your couple.  What makes life so much easier is when you are paired with a colleague that is responsive to your space and time as well as there own.  Being part of the “new wave” of wedding cinema we at Oceanwide often find ourselves having to jockey for position adding stress to our day.  Working with professionals like Amy Allen can completely turn that feeling upside down.  She gets a wedding day and gets her couples.  Partnerships like ours benefit creativity and most importantly our couples” ~Brad
