Jennifer + Aaron

Romances like this renew my faith.  I hope you enjoy Jennifer’s narrative.  I sure did.

“My name is Jennifer Knobbe and I am so blessed to be marring my best friend, Aaron Bloodsworth, this August. Aaron and I met as undergrads when we attended Central College in Pella Iowa.  There we became best friends for five years before we ever saw each other in the light we do now. All of our mutual friends told us that we will someday be together, however neither Aaron nor I saw the love we had for each other until later.

To backtrack a bit, when I was in high school I worked at a scrapbooking store where I got to help make wedding albums for many brides.  I learned early on the importance of good wedding and engagement photos, not only for purposes of nostalgia, to be able to look back on them later, but also because of the fun and excitement of the picture-taking journey itself. So when it was my turn to be the bride, I looked all over Des Moines for the photographer who would be the match for Aaron and myself.  When we sat down and talked with Amy for the first time we clicked immediately! We were totally on the same page with everything! I loved her energy and passion for what she does and it is definitely reflected in every single one of her photos!

Looking back at our engagement photos, I can’t help but smile because she truly captured the love that Aaron and I have for one another.. She made it so much fun and so easy.  Amy was so accommodating, not only when it came to the times and dates of the photo shoot, but also the location where we took the pictures.  Aaron and I met at Central College and Pella means the world to us and we have so many amazing memories there; however, I never thought there would be a chance of actually getting photos taken there!  Nevertheless, once Amy heard that Pella was where I wanted to shoot, she didn’t even blink an eye.  She merely said, ‘That’s where we will go then! We’ll take your engagement photos in Pella!’  When I heard Amy say that my heart melted and I couldn’t believe it! It truly was a dream come true!

Not only did we take pictures in Pella, but Amy also helped me realize my other photographic dream of taking urban pictures in the Downtown/East Village!  I can’t express in words how blessed I am to have Amy as our photographer!  Everything she does has helped put my heart and mind at ease! The ‘Big Day’ has enough stresses and anxiety in itself and I am so grateful to know that the worry about getting great/perfect pictures capturing every moment will not be one of those stressors, because Amy will be behind the camera!

Amy’s style is so professional; it is clean, sleek, modern, artsy, and so much more! I love how she combines it all together to make beautiful, exciting, and amazing photos.  I am so excited to have a lifelong photographer for our family.  Thank you, Amy!”

And I am soooo excited to get to photograph this amazing couple on their wedding day… for obvious reasons….

Congratulations Jennifer and Aaron!

I have never seen happier couples than the ones you shoot. Somehow I suspect you bring it out in them
